Alvin Dillied Dove

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Dove Family, announces the transition of  65-year-old Mr. Alvin Dillied Dove, of 229 British Road, Kinston, on January 6, 2023, at ECU Medical Center in Greenville.  

Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 14, 2023, from St. Augustus AME Zion Church, with burial to follow in Westview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday, January 13, 2023, from 4 to 6 pm from the chapel.

Mr. Dove is survived by his wife-Janice W. Dove, his mother-Essie, Dove of Kinston; five sons-Antonio Dove, Detreal Foye, Daniel Dove of Kinston, Decarlo Dove, and Thomas Dove of Georgia, two daughters-Tomiko Roberson of Hookerton, and Camillia Dove of Kinston, two brothers-Ervin Dove, Sr. of New Jersey and Bobby R. Dove, of Hope Mills, NC, five sisters- Shirley Skinner of Georgia, Pattie Lawson, Faye G. Simmons of Kinston, Joan Albertson of Charlotte and Mamie Miles of New Jersey a host of grands and great grands and other relatives and family and friends.
