Bobby Ray Dove

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Dove Family, announce the transition of 67-year-old Mr. Bobby Ray Dove of 630 Woodington Road, Hope Mills, NC, on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at 333 Alexander Rouse Road, Kinston.

Service will be held on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 1:00 pm at St. Augustus AME Zion Church. Burial will follow in the Veterans Cemetery in Spring Lake, NC, on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 12:00 noon. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Chapel. 

Mr. Bobby is survived by his wife, Adelina J. Dove, one son, Bobby Ray Dove, Jr. of Hope Mills, two daughters, Veronica Dove of Hope Mills, Marie Monger of Fayetteville, one brother, Ervin Dove, Sr. of Kinston, four sisters, Shirley Skinner of Georgia, Joan Albertson of Charlotte, Patti Pringle Lawson, Faye G. Simmons of Kinston, two grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
