With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Service, along with the Hicks and Edward families, announce the transition of 63-year-old Brenda Edwards of 2641 North West St, who was taken to glory on August 15, 2021, at UNC Lenoir Health Care.

Services will be on Saturday, August 21, 2021, at noon at River of Life Christian Center. Burial will take place at a later date in Oak Hill Memorial Park. A public visitation will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memory: daughters Sequeya Hicks and Shamikia Smith (Kenya); granddaughter KaNiyah A’Miracle Smith; sisters Delores Sykes, Leytricia Harris (Preston); bonus sister Marijuana Ford (Shawn); special friend Gloris Washington (John) and a host of nieces and nephews.
