With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Davis Family announce the transition of 74 year old Mr. Calvin Davis formerly of Kinston on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at Wayne Rehabilitation Center in Bronx, NY.
Service will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from the Robert Swinson, Jr., Memorial Chapel; burial will follow in the Hickory Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2026 from 4 to 6pm from the chapel.
Mr. Davis is survived by four brothers, Alvin Davis, Swindell Davis, Thurman Davis, Jr., and Bernard Davis, all of Kinston; two sisters, Palmer D. Dixon of Kinston and Teresa Davis of Goldsboro; a bonus sister, Christybell Hodges of Kinston; and a host of other relatives and friends.
