Cecil Lynn Stroud

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, announce the transition of 67-year-old Mr. Cecil Lynn Stroud, Sr., also known as "Peanut" who transitioned on August 30, 2024, at his home.

Cecil was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Darlene Koonce Stroud, his son, Cecil Lynn Stroud, Jr., and his loving mother, Selma Stroud. 

He is survived by his daughters Shonna, Celena, Tracy, and Leigh; one brother, Owen; three sisters, Jean, Rose, and Cynthia; 11 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. 

He was a strong, working man whose absence is deeply felt by all who knew him. He was always working on motors or cutting the grass. He loved Fords, skulls, and home-cooked meals. He could fix anything except our broken hearts. 

"We will love & miss you forever, Dad. Our only comfort is knowing you are pain-free in Heaven with Mama and Lynn"

The family will celebrate his life at 6 p.m. Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Deep Run Building, 2027 John Green Smith, Rd. Deep Run, NC.
