Dexter Dunn

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Dunn Family, announce the transition of 70-year-old Mr. Dexter Dunn of 107, Apt. 4C, E. Peyton Ave., Kinston, on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at his home.

Service will be held on Monday, May 18, 2026, 1:00PM at the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel, and burial will follow in the Vause Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 4 to 6 pm at the chapel.

Mr. Dunn is survived by one son, Brandson Gray of Kinston, one daughter, Jessicia Marshall of Virginia, seven brothers, Bishop Vance Dunn, Jr. Marion Dunn, Jack Grady of Kinston, Ernest Dunn of Grifton, Robert Dunn, Rev. Patrick Dunn of Winterville, Irving Dunn of Rocky Mount, three sisters, Nannie Rosber of Grifton, Rosa Dunn, Bontina Bratton of Kinston and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
