Dolores Callender

.With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Callender Family, announce the transition of 94-year-old Mrs. Dolores Callender of Kinston on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her home.

A memorial service will be held 3:00pm Sunday, November 23, 2023 from St. Mary Episcopal Church on Rountree Street, Kinston, NC.

Mrs. Callender is survived by one daughter, Yolanda Faith Flemming of the home; two grandchildren, Dominique Croswell and Desiree Flemming; one sister, Edna Lord; three great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; and other family and friends. She is preceded by her parents, Edgar and Martha Ward; husband, Lawrence Callender; and one sister, Jean Wigfall.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 3 PM at St. Mary's Episcopal Church.
