The Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services mourn with the Daniels family on the death of Mr. Donald Daniels, formerly of Kinston, who passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at the Veterans Hospital-Cooper Drive in Lexington KY.

A funeral mass will be 3:00 PM Saturday, December 28, 2019, at Pax Christi Catholic Church at 4001 Victoria Way in Lexington KY, with Father Pat Stewart officiating.  Burial will take place on Tuesday, December 31, 2019, at 2:00 PM in the Eastern Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC. A public visitation will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2019, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel before going to the cemetery.

Donald Lafayette Daniels was born April 13, 1956, in Kinston, NC to the late Mack and Edna Daniels. He was a proud Veteran of the US Army, a Chemical Operator Supervisor at the Bluegrass Army Depot and a member of Pax Christi Catholic Church.

Donald was preceded in death by his son, Demetrius Hutchinson and five siblings, Molly Piggee, Edna (Baba) Wood, Percy Scott, Robert Barber, and Harriett Daniels.

Donald leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife Christie Huynh Daniels, his eight children, Donald Daniels Jr., Gwone Walters, Lakita Hutchinson, Derrell Daniels, Corlena Daniels, Grace Huynh, Melody Daniels, and Ariel Daniels; four grandchildren, Genesis Walters, Sophia Hutchinson, Isaiah Rollinson, and Cali Richardson; four siblings, Jean Barber, Marie Jenkins, Sarah Daniels, and Harry Daniels.
