Dorothy Sutton Russell

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Powell Family, announce the transition of 88-year-old Mrs. Dorothy Sutton Russell.

Born on April 5, 1937, in Lenoir County, to Cullen and Bell Sutton. She is survived by three daughters, Vanessa Jones(Hampton, Virginia), Marice Reed(Greensboro, NC), Pamela Wooden(Greensboro, NC), 2 Sisters, Carol Perry(Deep Run, NC), and Curleen Wiggins (Durham, NC), 9 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews. 

Memorial services on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Sandhill FWB church, 3181 Neuse Road, Kinston, North Carolina 28501, at 2 pm.
