With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Moore family, announce the passing of 79-year-old Mrs. Elaine Moore of Kinston on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her home.

The service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, September 11, 2026, at the United American Free Will Baptist Tabernacle; burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Elaine is survived by one son, Curits Ray Moore, Jr. of Georgia; one daughter, Katena Elaine Cherry of Kinston; one brother, Walter Whitfield; and many grandchildren, relatives, and friends.
