Ellen Pearl Battle Smith

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along  with the Smith Family announce the transition of  77 year old Mrs. Ellen Smith of 2609 Brookhaven Drive, Kinston, on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at Greenville Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Service will be held  1:00 pm Thursday, October 17, 2024 from St. Augustus AME Zion Church, burial will follow in the Cedar Groove Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 16, 2024  from 4 to 6pm from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Smith is survived by one son Otis Battle of Ayden, NC, two brothers-Lester Battle of Kentucky, and Carlton Battle of Fayetteville, NC, two sisters-Bettie Jean Alexander of New York and Evelyn Kennion of South Carolina five grands and four great grands.
