Elwynda Patterson Chapman
August 14, 1939 — January 16, 2025
With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Patterson and Chapman Families, announce the transition of Mrs. Elwynda Patterson Chapman of Mitchellville, Maryland, formerly of Kinston, NC, on Thursday, January 16, 2025.
Service will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025, from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel at 4:00 pm . Visitation will be held one hour before the funeral service on Friday. Burial will follow Saturday morning, February 8, 2025, in the Patterson Family Estates at 10:00 am.
Mrs Chapman is survived by her husband-David W. Chapman of the home; her children-Kowanda "Kay" Chapman, Robin Chapman, Carla Chapman Moodie, Joel Moodie, Kaidyn Moodie, Janna Void, Lionel Williams, and Johnathan Williams; her siblings-Courtney Patterson, Jean Patterson, and Bernadine Williams.
