Essie Lee Dove

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Service along with the Dove Family announce the transition of 92 year old Mrs. Essie Lee Dove of 333 Alexander Rouse Road, Kinston , on Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at her home. 

Service will be held 11:00am Saturday, May 3, 2025 from Church of Faith and Deliverance, burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2025, from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Dove is survived by two sons, Ervin Dove, Sr. of Kinston, NC and Bobby Ray Dove, Sr. of Hope Mills NC, two daughters, Shirley Skinner of Warner- Robbins, Georgia, and Pattie Pringle of Kinston, NC; two extended daughters, Joan Albertson of Charlotte, NC and Faye G. Simmons of Kinston, NC one sister-Katherine Grady of Kinston, NC one daughter in-law Janice Dove, Georgia and host of grands, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
