With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along with the Barfield Family announce the transition of 74 year old Rev. George Barfield, III on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.
A memorial service will be held 3:00pm on Saturday, April 29, 2023 from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel. There will be no visitation.
Rev. Barfield is survived by one brother-William Barfield, three sisters-Joyce Graham, Shirley Gillis and Angelia Bremby and a host of other relatives and friends.
