With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along with the Harris Family announced the transition of 88 year old Mr. George Harris of Portsmouth, Virginia, formerly of Fort Barnwell, NC on February 7, 2025, at his home.
Service will be held at 12:00 noon on Monday, February 17, 2025, at Corprew Funeral Home Chapel in Portsmouth, Virginia. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 16, 2025, from 1:00 - 5:00 pm at the chapel.
Peter is survived by his sister Jearline "Jerk" Harris Spence of Raleigh, NC. He is also survived by his children, grandchildren, aunt, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
R. Swinson Funeral Services is in charge of the local announcement.
