With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along with the Edwards Family announce the transition of Ms. Grace Edwards of 1000 Phillips Road, Kinston, NC on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at her residence.

Service will be held on Sunday, February 15, 2026, at 1:00 pm at the United Gospel Outreach Church, 2682 Highway 11 N. Kinston, burial will follow in the Edwards Cemetery in Hookerton at a later date. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel from 4 to 6pm.

Mrs. Grace is survived by one son, Lynwood Edwards, Jr. of Kinston, three daughters, Belinda L. Edwards, Marcia E. Rhoe, Patricia Durant of Kinston, her bonus Daughter, Grace Water of Snow Hill, two sisters, Addie Swinson of Richmond, Va, Mary K. Smith of Oxon Hill, Md., five grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
