Haywood Edwards, Jr.

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Service along with the Edwards Family announce the transition of 65 year old Mr. Haywood Edwards, Jr. of 2611 Mable Street, Kinston, on Thursday, March 2, 2023 at his home.

Service will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023 at 1:00pm from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.  Visitation will be held on Friday, March 10, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm  from the chapel.

Mr. Edwards is survived by his wife-Tillie Edwards of the home, two sons-Haywood Edwards, III of Kinston and LaShawon Adams of  Hawaii, three daughters-Karen Shipp of Kinston Deanna Mewborn of LaGrange and Dominique Suggs of New Bern, three brothers-Michael Edwards of Snow Hill, Jeffrey Edwards of Kinston and Kim Edwards of Grifton, four sisters-Yvonne Moore, Antionette Miller, Kimberly Washington of Kinston and Dorothy McCoy of South Carolina, twenty grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
