Ida Mae Perry Jones

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services,  along with the Jones Family, announced the transition of 78-year-old Mrs. Ida P. Jones of 210 N. Center Street of LaGrange, N.C., on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at UNC Lenoir.

Service will be held 11:00am Saturday, January 28, 2023 from Jones Tabernacle FWB Church, burial to follow in Fairview Cemetery in LaGrange.  Visitation will be held Friday, January 27, 2023 from 4 to 6 pm from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Mother Jones is survived by her husband-Bishop William E. Jones, Sr. of the home, two sons-William E. Jones,  Jr. (Alice Faye). and Lorenzo Jones, a foster son-Shelton Taylor all of LaGrange, two brothers-Herbert Perry and William Galloway of Kinston, three sisters-Adell Gillispie of LaGrange, Ann Perry and Martha Galloway of Kinston, two granddaughters, one grand son, two great grands and a host of other family and friends.
