With heavy and sorrowful hearts, we the staff and management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along with the Brown and extended families announce the transition of 103-year-old Miss. Isabell Brown of the Browntown Community; Snow Hill, NC.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2024 at New Christian Fellowship Center. Burial will follow the service at Peter Grant Cemetery.  Visitation will be held Friday afternoon from 4 to 6 pm from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel. 

Two daughters preceded her in death: Gloria B. Vaughn (Jimmy) and Addie J. Hart (Earl). Miss Brown is survived by three daughters-Doris Speight of Washington, DC, Janice B. Lane of Bowie, Md. and Vicky D. Brown of Silver Spring, Md., four sons- David Brown (Arlene), Kenneth Dixon (Lalia) of Snow Hill, NC, Alvin Brown (Susan) of Upper Marlboro, MD and William Brown of Snow Hill, NC, twenty-seven grandchildren, forty-eight great grandchildren and fifteen great-great grandcildren.
