James "Duck" Strong

With heavy hearts, we, the staff and management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Strong family, announce the transition of 90-year-old Mr. James Strong, of 1515 George Avenue, Kinston, NC, at Kitty Askins Hospice Care in Goldsboro Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Homegoing Services will take place Saturday, June 10, 2023, at 1 pm from the Church of Faith and Deliverance with Pastor John Flowers officiating. Burial will take place at Westview Cemetery. A public viewing will be held Friday, June 9, 2023, from 4 to 6 pm from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Debra G. Strong of the home, and son Anthony T. Strong of Kinston. Daughters; Angela Strong-Parker, Iristine Parker, and Cassandra Strong, all of Snow Hill, NC. Cynthia Strong of Hookerton, Sandra Barfield of Grifton, and Precious Swinson and Shavonda Baker and one loving sister of Hookerton, NC, Lucy Lane.
