With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Cox Family, announce the transition of 79-year-old Ms. Joetta Cox of 3301 Carey Road, Kinston, on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Kitty Askin Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC.

Service will be held 11:00 am Friday, April 17, 2026, from St. John FWB Church, and entombment will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel from 4 to 6 pm.

Survivors are two daughters, Antiquea Allen of Fayetteville, and Jamaica Cox of Kinston, and three grandchildren.
