With sorrowful hearts, the staff & management of Swinson Funeral Services would like to announce the passing of 63 year old, Mr. John W. Koonce of 1913 Carey Road died on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.

Homegoing Celebration will be conducted 1:00PM Tuesday, April 28, 2015 from the St. Peter Church of Christ Disciples of Christ. Commital Service & Burial will follow in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens.

Survivors are his parents, Sylvester Koonce and Nora Koonce of the home, and brorthers, David Koonce of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Delanor Koonce of Kinston. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday, April 27, 2015, from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.
