With sorrowful hearts, the staff of Swinson Funeral Service wish to extend our deepest and heartfelt sympathy in the passing of 84, year old, Mr. Linwood Edwards of 1000 Phillips Road, Kinston who transitioned from this world on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at home surrounded by family.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 AM from the River of Life Christian Center.  Bishop Les Sims will officiate. Committal services will take place in the Edwards Family Cemetery in Hookerton.

Survivors include: his wife, Grace Edwaards of the home; one son, Lynwood J. Edwards, Jr. of Kinston; three daughters, Marcia Edwards Rhoe of Kinston,  Belinda Edwards Moore of Kinston, and Grace Hall of Winterville, NC. ; one sister, Dr. Minniew B. Taylor of Maryland; eleven grandchildren; twenty-seven great grand children; and 1 great great grandchild.

A public visitiation will be held on Friday, November 20, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Family and friends are being received at 1000 Phillips Road where the family will assembly for the funeral processional.
