Mary Murrell

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Murrell Family, announce the transition of 91-year-old Mrs. Mary Murrell of 1006 Lincoln Street, Kinston, on Thursday, June 15, 2023, at her home.

A Celebration of Life will occur at 1:00 pm Wednesday, June 21, 2023, from the Living Proof Church formerly of St. Mark Church Ministers with Pastor Corey Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow the service at Southview Cemetery. A public viewing will be held from 4 to 6 pm Tuesday, June 20, 2023, from the Robert Swinson Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Left to cherish her memory are sons; Joseph Murrell and Kenneth Murrell, both of Kinston, NC, Jesse Wiggins of Grifton, NC, and Michael Murrell of Maryland. Her daughters- Susie Land of Durham, NC, Patricia Bryant, and Cathy Murrell, both of Kinston, NC.one brother: Jesse Wiggins of Durham, NC. She also leaves behind 13 grandchildren, a host of cousins, and other relatives & friends.
