Mary Ellen Bynum Wooten

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services along with the Wooten Family announce the transition of 88 year old Mrs. Mary Ellen Bynum Wooten of 1504 Hull Road, Kinston, on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Kitty Askins in Goldsboro, NC.

Service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday, August 23, 2025 from Jericho AME Zion Church, burial will follow in Southview Cemetery.   Visitation will be on Friday, August 22, 2025 from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel from 4 to 6 pm.

Mrs. Wooten is survived by one son, Bobby Wooten of Kinston, two daughters, Edna R. Jarrett of California and Minnie Arnold of Kinston, one brother, William Bynum of Kinston, eleven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
