Morine Kornegay

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Kornegay Family, announce the transition of 81-year-old Mr. Morine Kornegay of 2102 Dallas Drive, Kinston, on Wednesday, April 17, 2025, at his home.

Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, April 26, 2025, from Holly Grove FWB Church, burial will follow in Sand Hill Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel from 4 to 6 pm.

Mr. Kornegay is survived by his daughter, Alice Kornegay-McIver of Kinston, one brother, Johnny Kornegay of Virginia, and three sisters, Geraldine Carraway of LaGrange, Beulah M. Sutton of Kinston, and Arlene Davis of Maryland, four grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
