With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Stephens Family, announce the transition of 81-year-old Mrs. Rebecca Stephens of 301 E. Daniels St., Kinston, on Monday, September 19, 2022, at her home

Homegoing Service will be Sunday, September 25, 2022, 1:30 pm at Alpha & Omega Church, following the burial at Southview Cemetery.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 24, 2022, from 4–6 pm at the funeral home.

Rebecca leaves to cherish her memory six children: LaVerne Smith-Boykin (Melvin), David, Clarence, Douglas, Denise, and Gary; two sisters; Ruby Ruffin, Brenda Smith (Roosevelt); 13 grandchildren; Le Adrian, DeShawn, Kion, Neterra, Clarence Jr, Lauren, Isaiah, Janiya, Daniel, Shawn, Orland, Cathy and Ashley; 15 great-grandchildren; special nephew; Calvin; three brothers in laws; Rudolph, Mickey (Sarah), and Carlisle (MaryAnne); one sister-in-law; JoAnn; countless nieces nephews, cousins, Confidantes; Vashti and Mother Mary; a host of friends; and The Alpha and Omega Church Family; especially Kim, Kiesha, Anna, Peggy, Shirley, Mother Dillard and Bishop, Elaine Edwards.
