Vice Moderator Dr. Wilbert Johnson

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Johnson Family, announce the transition of 77-year-old Rev. Dr. Wilbert Johnson of 1300 Rhem Street, Kinston, on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at his home.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from the Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Association. Burial will follow the services in Southview Cemetery.

The family will receive guests & friends at the public visitation at R. Swinson Funeral Services on Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated will begin Omega-Omega Services at 4:00 p.m. during the visitation at the funeral home.
