Service will be held Friday, May 15, 2015 at 12 noon from Faith & Deliverance Church, burial to follow in the Southview Cemetery . Visitation will be from 4 to 5pm Thursday, May 15, 2015 from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel and from 5 to 7pm from First Missionary Baptist on Gordon St.

Survivors are his wife, Lovie P. Fikes of the home, three sons, Robert L. Fikes of Virginia, Antonio R .Fikes of Durham, NC, Bobby R. Fikes of California, two daughters, Loviette Fikes-Leathers of Durham, NC and Gwendolyn Super of Kinston, one brother, Donald Fikes of Kinston, four sisters, Joan F. White of Baltimore, Md., Harriet F. Melton of New York, Dorether F. Seth of Virginia and Peal F. Williams of Goldsboro, twenty grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren .
