With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Mewborn Family, announce the transition of 71-year-old Ms. Sharon Mewborn 2503 Hedge Street, Kinston, on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at ECU Medical Center, Greenville, NC.

Service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, February 13, 2026, from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park . Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from the chapel from 4 to 6pm.

Ms. Sharon is survived by her mother, Catherine Mewborn of the home, her son, Rashaud Mewborn of the home, her sister, Joyce Lawson of New York.
