With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Gray Family, announce the transition of 92-year-old Ms. Susie Mae Gray of Kinston on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at UNC Lenoir Health Care.

Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 9, 2026, from First Missionary Baptist Church; burial will follow in Westview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2026, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Ms. Gray is survived by three daughters, Jacklyn Gray of LaGrange, Brenda K. Avery of Kinston, Carolyn Williams of Goldsboro; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
