With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, announce the transition of Mr. Thaddeus Sheppard of 106 W. Boundary Street, LaGrange, NC, who entered into eternal rest on Sunday, May 26, 2024, at his home.
Homegoing Celebration will be held 12-noon Saturday, June 1, 2024, from the Victory and Dominion Church with Pastor Charlie Howell, Jr. as the eulogist. Burial will follow the services in the Sheppard-Williams Family Cemetery {Hookerton, NC}. A public visitation will be held 4-6 p.m. Friday evening at the Robert Swinson Memorial Chapel.
Mr. Sheppard is survived by his fiancee- Doris Myers, of the home. His sons- Jamaul Sheppard of Goldsboro; Donald Sheppard of Youngstown, Ohio, and Bryan Sheppard of Staten Island, NY, Al Myers and Eric Myers, both of LaGrange, NC, Michael Myers of Grifton; Daughters- Winifred Sheppard, Jessica Sheppard, Claudette Sheppard Pierre, all of Goldsboro, NC, Terica McDowell of LaGrange, and Devona Nicole Lewis of Newbern. Brothers- Edwin Sheppard, of Wilson, NC; Curtis Sheppard, of Hookerton; Thurmond Sheppard, Zebedee Sheppard, and Raymond Sheppard Jr., all of Kinston, NC. Sisters- Shirley Ellison of Hookerton, Triva Mason of Maury, and Vetrius Sutton of Snow Hill, NC. Thaddeus also leaves behind 28 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
