Thelma Lee Humphrey Hardy

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Services, along with the Humphrey and Hardy Families, announce the transition of 93-year-old Mrs. Thelma Lee Humphrey Hardy of Kinston on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, at her home.

Service will be held 12 noon on Friday, November 28, 2025, at St. James AME Church.  Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, from 4 to 6 pm at the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel.

Mrs. Hardy is survived by three sons, Harry Hardy, Jr. of Kinston, Maurice Hardy of Maryland, and Darnell McMillan of Virginia, one daughter, Freda Humphrey of Garner, NC, one brother, Cecil Humphrey of Richlands, ten grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
