Wesley G. Kornegay

With heavy hearts, we, the Staff and Management of R. Swinson Funeral Service, along with the Kornegay Family, announce the transition of 69-year-old Mr. Wesley Kornegay on Friday, December 9, 2022, at UNC  Lenoir Health Care.

Service will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, December 17, 2022, from the Robert Swinson, Jr. Memorial Chapel, with burial to follow in St. Matthews Church Cemetery in LaGrange.  Visitation will be held Friday, December 16, 2022, from 4 to 6 pm from the chapel.

Mr. Kornegay is survived by his mother, Bertha Kornegay, two brother-John Rouse (Alicetine) of Kinston and Marvin Kornegay of New Jersey; one sister Carolyn Grant of Fayetteville, NC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
